Christie Boss

Founder and CEO

Christie Boss brings over 15 years of experience in accounting, nonprofit management, and construction finance. Before founding Idaho Consulting & Accounting, she served as the Chief Financial Officer for a general contracting firm in the Pacific Northwest, where she helped guide the company through major growth—including a successful acquisition of another contractor. She worked closely with banks and bonding agents to increase financial limits, oversaw job costing and project estimates, and managed contracts and subcontractor compliance once projects were underway.

Since returning to the nonprofit and HOA world in 2022, Christie has worked with more than 60 organizations, including homeowner associations, private utility districts, and 501(c)(3) nonprofits. She partners closely with boards of directors to build budgets, design financial strategies, and deliver clear, accurate reporting that supports confident decision-making. Her work often involves complex rate design, fire suppression planning, wastewater reuse strategies, and asset replacement schedules. She's also written dozens of resolutions, owner communications, and budget narratives for associations across North Idaho.

Known for her practical, no-nonsense approach, Christie helps her clients navigate everything from reconciling messy books and preparing for audits to training new staff, troubleshooting software transitions, and building processes from the ground up. Whether she's leading a board meeting, implementing a billing system, or handling tough conversations with homeowners, her clients count on her to be responsive, honest, and fully committed.

Outside the accounting world, Christie has held leadership roles in several industry groups. She served on the Washington State Safety Committee as an appointed Excavator seat, helping interpret and enforce Dig Safe laws. She was also a founding board member and Secretary/Treasurer of the North Idaho chapter of NUCA (National Utility Contractors Association), where she helped launch trades education programs and community safety events—including organizing the region’s first Dozer Day.

A North Idaho local, Christie is deeply rooted in the community she serves. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and when she’s not buried in spreadsheets, she’s probably out on a trail somewhere training for her next ultramarathon. She brings the same grit, humor, and determination to her clients as she does to race day.

Community Engagement

At Idaho Consulting & Accounting, community isn’t just something we serve—it’s something we’re part of. Christie Boss, founder of ICA, is a lifelong North Idaho resident who believes in giving back through service, education, and meaningful connection.

Over the years, Christie has helped organize and lead a number of local outreach efforts, including launching the first-ever Dozer Day event in our region—a hands-on experience designed to teach kids about construction, safety, and trades careers. She also served as a founding board member for the North Idaho chapter of NUCA (National Utility Contractors Association), where she played a key role in building partnerships with apprenticeship programs and promoting workforce development in the trades.

Her service on the Washington State Safety Committee as the Excavator representative gave her a platform to advocate for safer excavation practices and help interpret and improve Dig Safe legislation.

Christie’s commitment to community shows up in everyday ways, too—from writing clear, accessible communications for HOA residents to creating websites and newsletters that keep neighbors informed and connected. Whether it's supporting a nonprofit's mission or helping a utility district better serve its members, ICA approaches each client with a focus on transparency, trust, and long-term value.
